Wondering where to go in 2019? Here are some of our top travel places to visit:

The Hebrides, Scotland

The Isle of Skye is one of the most famous places in the country. But there is also Lewis and Harris, the Outer Hebridean Island, and Stonehenge.

Once you come to the Hebridean island you will find that each town has its own unique vibe although they are all created in a similar small-town community way. If you want to experience true island life, visit the southernmost Hebridean isle.

When on the road expect to encounter cows that people, but once you do meet an islander, you will likely be welcomed by a friendly wave from them.

Kerala, India

Kerala has it all: sun, great food, sand, culture, and wildlife. It has a beautiful natural landscape of palm trees and backwaters. If you love to find great beaches, you can visit Kovalam, which is also a perfect destination for surfers.

Kerala’s backwaters are also famous because of its nexus waterways that link the regions’ villages. You can spend a week or two on the many rental houseboats the place offer where you will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the water.

New York

New York has always attracted tourists and not just international but even local tourists, and why not? New York has it all! Even you visit the city many times there are still a lot of new places you can find. How about visiting the Jackson Pollocks on display at the Met or eating seafood at the 42nd Street Oyster Bar.

Don’t miss riding the New York City Ferry system which connects the boroughs easily. And if you want to still head to the beach, you can go from downtown Manhattan and visit Rockaway Beach.

Spending the Day in Reykjavik, Iceland

From volcanoes to black sand beaches and secret hot springs, Iceland is a nature lover’s dream location. The unique landscapes and natural wonders are perfect for those who love the outdoors, while city slickers will likely prefer the capital of Reykjavik, with its great café culture and nightlife. Iceland has it all, so let’s explore how to spend a day in this wonderful city.

The Morning

Start with a free (donations encouraged) walking tour of Reykjavik, to get a feel for the city and gather ideas of what you may like to explore later on, & if you will do so by car or foot.

Breakfast can be enjoyed along Laugavegur, a shop- and café-lined street in the middle of the city, and from there you can head to the National Museum of Iceland. This is where you will see the famous Valþjófsstaður door, that was carved in the Middle Ages.

The Afternoon

Spend the middle of the day swimming in the Laugardalslaug Geothermal Pool, which is Iceland’s largest pool. It was built in 1968 and features hot tubs, a thermal steam bath, a waterslide, and mini golf. This will keep you busy for a lot of the day.

The Nightlife

As one of the best party cities in the world, Reykjavik offers a range of watering holes that are worth visiting, like Kaffibarinn, the part café, part club, which is divided into three different sections so you can choose which part you want to dance the night away in, depending on what sort of night, and music, you like.

There is also a Big Lebowski–themed bar that looks like a vintage American diner, complete with a bowling alley. They have a daily happy hour between 4pm–7pm, making it the funniest and most cost-effective spot for a White Russian!

The Next Day

Don’t go too crazy on the drinks, however, as you should spend the following day at The Golden Circle, home to the Gullfoss waterfall, the Strokkur geyser, and Þingvellir National Park. Head out of town in a rental car or a bus, and pack plenty of entertainment for the 250km round trip. It’s entirely worth it to see the biggest tourist attraction in Iceland.

You’ll also want to see the famous Blue Lagoon, one of the most iconic spots in Iceland. Large pools, milky-blue steamy water which is very picturesque and a luxurious way to end the day!

Reykjavik is known for its incredible nightlife and beautiful natural scenery, so whether you’re a partier or a landscape-lover, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for.
